Sifu Chris Dougliss had an interest in Martial Arts from an early age.Like many of his generation he was initially influenced
by the Bruce Lee films of the 1970's.At that time in Wolverhampton England where he grew up the only available Martial Art
was Lau Gar which Sifu Chris over a number of years became proficient at.He then trained in Hung Gar initially under Mark
Houghton until he went to Hong Kong and then under Dave Bradley who was Mark Houghtons Senior Student in the UK at the time
for many years becoming very proficient in this Style also and is probably the only Teacher of this Style in Ireland.
Eventually Chris came to Ireland where he married and settled in Clonmel County Tipperary.For many years he trained diligently
by himself and only occasionly trained others.Eventually such was the demand for Hung Gar Kung Fu in the area that he founded
Clonmel Hung Gar Kung Fu Club which has gone from strength to strength.Chris also teaches Kickboxing and Physical Training
to those willing to dedicate themselves.
